aboutus

The Maternity and Early Childhood Foundation provides funding for agencies located in very high need communities where other services are often limited or nonexistent.  Funded agencies are selected through a rigorous Request for Proposal process.  The Board of Directors reviews proposals and makes funding decisions.

The funded programs are able to engage young low income vulnerable expectant and new parents and connect them with needed services.    Funded services include:

  • outreach to parents who might not seek services,
  • assistance with access to prenatal care and health insurance,
  • crisis intervention and case management services,
  • information on breast feeding, infant safety, healthy child development and and positive parenting skills,
  • support for education and employment goals,
  • home visiting and parent support services.

Below you can see all the map locations of the  agencies currently funded by MECF. If you know what county you live in, you can filter the map by your county by selecting it in the first box. If you know what type of program you are looking for, you can filter the map by selecting it using the second box below. To refresh the map back to its default state, simply click Areas Served in the purple box on the far left. Clicking a map marker will display the address for each agency.

While viewing the map, double clicking an area on the map will increase the zoom. You can also increase or decrease the zoom by using the scroll wheel on your mouse or using the controls on the lefthand side of the map.

Below the map, you can find additional information for all agencies displayed. Clicking a marker next to one of the agencies in the list below the map will center the map on that location. Multiple markers at the same location or within close proximity to others may appear hidden. Zooming into that area will help focus on specific markers.
